How every partnership with ANEI helps protect the Heart of the World.
When you choose ANEI as your coffee or cacao partner, you're doing more than sourcing exceptional products.
You're becoming part of a sustainable development model where responsible trade helps protect forests, strengthen Indigenous communities, and preserve one of the world's most unique ecosystems.
For more than 30 years, ANEI has worked alongside Indigenous and farming families to demonstrate that coffee and cacao can create value far beyond the harvest.
Today, we'd like to share one example of how that commitment comes to life:
Cesar River Basin Ecological Restoration
The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta—known by its Indigenous peoples as the Heart of the World—is one of the most biodiverse and culturally significant regions on Earth.
Within this territory lies the Cesar River watershed, a strategic ecosystem where forests, rivers, and communities are deeply connected.
The river begins in the Sierra Nevada and flows nearly 280 kilometers through 11 municipalities, supporting biodiversity, agriculture, and rural livelihoods across northern Colombia.
Protecting this watershed means protecting the natural systems that sustain both people and the landscapes where our coffee and cacao are grown.
Recognizing its importance, ANEI is leading an ecological restoration initiative with producer families and strategic partners to restore degraded areas and strengthen the territory's long-term resilience.
Creating Impact Through Coffee and Cacao
For ANEI, sustainability is not a separate project—it's part of how we do business.
Through the commercialization of coffee and cacao, combined with the support of strategic partners, we're able to invest in initiatives that strengthen both communities and ecosystems.
Current actions include:
Every action contributes to healthier ecosystems while supporting the long-term sustainability of coffee and cacao production.

Why Your Partnership Matters
| Projects like this are only possible through long-term collaboration. | |
| Producer families contribute their knowledge and commitment. | |
| Strategic partners provide technical support. |
And every company that chooses ANEI helps strengthen a model where responsible sourcing generates lasting environmental and social value. When you purchase coffee or cacao from ANEI, you're not supporting a single initiative—you're helping sustain a long-term vision that reinvests in forests, communities, and the future of the Heart of the World.
Looking Ahead
As demand for responsibly sourced coffee and cacao continues to grow, so does our ability to expand restoration efforts, reach more producer families, and protect the ecosystems that make our origin unique.
Every new partnership helps us continue building a resilient future for the territory and the people who care for it.
