Anei joins the historic celebration of the centenary of Biodynamic Agriculture in Colombia.

Anei is pleased to announce its participation in celebrating the 100th anniversary of Biodynamic Agriculture, which will take place on October 18 and 19 at Hacienda Lucerna, located in Bugalagrande, Valle del Cauca. This event is organized by the Biodynamic Agriculture Association (ABD) Colombia, a non-profit entity founded in 2017 to promote and encourage biodynamic agriculture in the country.

Biodynamic agriculture is a movement based on spiritual, social, and ecological principles, inspired by Rudolf Steiner's 1924 lectures on agriculture. This practice seeks to protect and regenerate soils naturally, keeping them healthy and active. Its main purpose is to strengthen the vigor of plants and animals, improve the nutritional quality of food, and, as a result, strengthen communities.

The Biodynamic Agriculture Association of Colombia brings together people from diverse backgrounds who, through a spiritual and practical approach, work to protect the land and improve soil health. This approach aligns with the values of Anei, an organization committed to caring for Mother Earth and producing sustainable, high-quality coffee.

For Anei, participating in these types of meetings represents a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences with other actors in the agroecological sector. These spaces allow the organization to continuously innovate in its agricultural practices, always in search of new certifications that reinforce its sustainable vision.

During the event, a tour of Hacienda Lucerna will be held, highlighting the 12 benefits of biodynamic agriculture. In addition, a panel of practical experiences will be held that will address topics such as production, marketing, and certification, areas in which Anei remains committed to its mission of growth and continuous improvement.

Jorge Páez Izquierdo, Commercial Manager of Anei, highlighted the importance of attending these meetings: “For Anei, attending the celebration of the 100 years of Biodynamics is of great importance, since it connects us with a movement of people who conceive health as a whole. They see the territory as an interdependent part of the human being, where farms, animals, plants, and soil are in constant interaction.

This message has been fundamental for indigenous and peasant communities in the Sierra for millennia. Our ancestral peoples have taken care of the land, and we have found in Biodynamics a movement aligned with these principles. We believe that it is time to share with people from different countries, strengthening relationships and collaborating to work in harmony with nature.”

With this participation, Anei reaffirms its commitment to protecting the environment and strengthening producer communities, always maintaining its focus on the quality and sustainability of its products.
