Our Associates
The Heart of ANEI
An Alliance of Cultures and Traditions
At the heart of ANEI are the 800 farming families who are the soul of our organization. Hailing from the majestic Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the Serranía del Perijá, our members represent a rich cultural diversity, including the Arhuaco, Kogui, Wiwa, and Kankuamo indigenous peoples, along with rural communities from the region.
We are united by a philosophy of collaborative work, founded on mutual respect, trust, and a deep love for Mother Earth (Zaku). Together, we weave a future where ancestral tradition and sustainable practices intertwine to produce coffees and cocoa of exceptional quality, while caring for our land for future generations..

Inspiring Stories from the Territory
Behind every ANEI coffee and cocoa bean, there is a story of life, hard work, and a deep connection to the land. We want to share the voices of those who make our work possible: our member families
-
Meet Eliecer Rangel Becerra: A man of struggle and perseverance from the Cuesta Plata area in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. A father of four, Eliecer has dedicated nearly 30 years to growing coffee on his farm, El Arrayán, seeking a better future for his family and community.
-
"Coffee has been my financial support and my greatest ally," Eliecer tells us. He joined ANEI many years ago, finding invaluable support in the organization, especially in the guidance of our founder, Aurora María Izquierdo, for the production of specialty coffees.
-
Today, Eliecer is an example for young coffee growers, encouraging them to join forces. His conviction is clear: "Together is better, and together we find the solution to any challenge."
